Pierre Mangeol

I am a Physicist by training who got into Quantitative Biology since my PhD. I am fascinated by complexity in Biology and I try to help deciphering it using super-resolution microscopy, automatized data analysis and modelling.

I teach Cell Biology and Statistics at Aix-Marseille Université for bachelor and master students.

Current and past projects:

Mapping muscle using DNA-PAINT.

Deciphering epithelia apical junction organization using STED, STORM and electron tomography, with André Le Bivic and Pierre-François Lenne, IBDM – Marseille, France

3D quantitative analysis of intraflagellar transport in C. elegans, with Erwin Peterman, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands

PhD: Probing RNA-protein interaction with optical tweezers, with Ulrich Bockelmann, ESPCI – Paris, France
