Currently doing a PhD, I did, after my graduation at high school, a Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University Côte d’Azur with an option in Biochemistry, Physiology and Neurology in third year. This large and complete schooling gave me varied knowledge and motivated me to continue in a Physiology Master’s degree. The muscular physiopathology classes I had really interested me, explaining my choice of pursing in muscle field for my thesis.
I had the opportunity to do an internship, between my second and third year of my Bachelor’s degree, at the INRAE institute. The team worked on the effect of BtK bioinsecticide on Drosophila. This one-month internship participated to my will of working in fundamental research. Enjoying cellular and molecular mechanisms, I did an internship during my M1 at the Stem-cell and Brain Research Institute (SBRI) at Bron, where I worked on the link between colonisation and cell competition of pluripotent stem cells. Because I wanted to better know what type of research could be done in muscle, I participated to the Musculo-Skeletal system, Locomotion, Exercise (MuSkLE) Summer School. It allows me to choose a more specialized M2 internship, done in NeuroMyoGene Institute (INMG) at Lyon. There, I studied the effect of contractile activity on cachectic muscle stem cells’ microenvironment.
Now, being a PhD student, I am exploring the mechanisms implicated in muscle aging using Drosophila flight muscle as a model. Found of academic research, after getting my thesis, I would like to do a Postdoc abroad in order to after work as a researcher.
I am a dedicated, meticulous and curious person, thrilled to learn more everyday, which is very helpful to go forward in my project.
